Kevin Sullivan,

Principal

Kevin Sullivan, CMI, is a principal at Popp Hutcheson. He provides a wide range of tax consulting services to his clients, focusing on negotiation and settlement of real property tax protests and advocacy at administrative hearings. Kevin leads a practice group, or pod, focusing on the valuation of grocery stores, retail centers and hotels. He was instrumental in designing and implementing the firm’s property valuation procedures, and he is a member of the Popp Hutcheson Team Development Committee, which focuses on continuing education and the culture of the firm.

Kevin is active in the property tax community, and he has authored articles for American Property Tax Counsel and Texas Real Estate Business. He has spoken at local town hall meetings, discussing Texas property tax issues and protest procedures with the public. He has also earned the CMI designation from the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, and he is licensed in Texas as a senior property tax consultant.

Kevin graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2000, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. Kevin earned his Classroom Teacher Certification from the Texas State Board of Educator Certification in 2003. For four years, Kevin was a high school teacher with the Austin Independent School District. He transitioned into real estate appraisal before joining Popp Hutcheson in 2008.
